CMU at the 13th World Conference of Confucius Institutes, Chengdu Province, China


CMU’s President Clinical Professor Niwes Nantachit, M.D., accompanied with Vice President Associate Professor Rome Chiranukrom, Vice President Associate Professor Prasert Rerkkriangkrai, and Director of UNISERV Associate Professor Rien Loveemongkol together with other executives visited Chengdu Province, China, during December 3 – 5 2018. On December 3rd CMU executives met with Chengdu University’s President Professor Zhou Ji Liu, and his executive team during Chengdu University’s 40th Anniversary and together signed an extension to the academic collaborative agreement between the two institutes. CMU executives visited Sichuan Provincial Research Institute of Thai Studies in Chengdu University and congratulated Professor Chaphibhorn Kiatkachathan, Consultant of Sichuan Provincial Research Institute of Thai Studies for his Chinese Government Awards 2018. They also met with Mr. Witit Phaowattanasukh, Consul General of Thailand to Chengdu City. On December 4th CMU President as a representative of Thailand, attended the World Confucius Institutes Committee with Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Ms. Zun Lan. Later the CMU executives attended “The 13th World Conference of Confucius Institutes” for discussions on “Facilitating the New Development through Reform and Innovation, Forging a Brighter Future with concerted Efforts” after which they joined in the “Thai National Day” held by Consul General of Thailand to Chengdu City.
